Today is our 10 year wedding anniversary!
Here we are a decade younger:
If these trees look familiar to you, it might be because they were featured in the classic movie Rainman. This road leads to a nearby convent and this has always been a spot of ours.
To celebrate our anniversary, I wanted to highlight a wedding theme that I think I would choose today if we were to do it all again. We originally went with a classic black and white, with touches of red for our big day. I think in the past decade we have become a bit braver in our design choices and I have really been loving the idea of a galaxy, starry night theme. This theme would be so easy to add personal touches to, like customized converse or cool nerdy elements like touches of Van Gogh, Star Wars or Dr. Who. My kids are obsessed with Dr. Who, so I imagine this would be a theme that they would love too.
You could go heavy with the galaxy look, or just add small touches added to a color palate of blues, purples and black. You could add some real magic to your reception with some creative lighting, creating a starry night effect. For a simple touch to your bridal party ensemble, pair these chic stackable bracelets by yugentribe with classic black or royal blue bridesmaid dresses. For the guys, these galaxy cuff links by SunAndStarsJewelry are truly out of this world. If you prefer a more bold touch of the space theme take a look at this gorgeous astral love wedding gown by Haley. This dress would surely be a show stopper.
